Dear Friends of Franke,
It is with a heavy heart that we need to let you know that we are closing down Franke at the end of March.
As passionate members of the Slack community we felt some of the pain of having legacy email communications over to one side while we spent our lives in Slack. So we set out to solve that problem and in the process had over 1,000 companies come along for the journey.
Unfortunately we haven't done enough to turn Franke into a viable commercial product and at the same time Slack has released some email integration into their core product, so we have made the difficult decision to move on.
What does this mean for you?
Firstly, it will mean that on 31st March 2016 we will be switching off the Franke service and any new emails will stop being sorted into Slack. All of the emails that have been sorted into Slack will remain.
Beyond knowing this, you don't need to do anything, we will take care of all the shutdown process and ensure none of your data remains at our end.
If you are a paying customer, we will not bill you for March and obviously cease billing you beyond the closure of Franke.
While we don't think it replaces Franke, the new features in Slack's paid service for forwarding emails to your Slack channels could go some way as an alternative.
Lastly, we want to sincerely thank you for your support as users of Franke and wish you all the best with your respective endeavors.
On a final note, as a team we have embarked on a new venture called Wise in order to help teams create a culture of continuous learning.
We are in the process of full integration with Slack that will see us as the first integrated learning solution on the platform.
